Abu Bakr Zoud – Allahs Advice Especially for Those at 40
AI: Summary ©
The importance of knowing the meaning of Islam and the misunderstandings that come with it is emphasized. The church has warned against fear, sadness, and anxiety, but reality is that there is no fear on the believers. The church has also warned against anyone who thinks they have done something wrong and gives a book to anyone who wants to read. The importance of living life on a regular schedule until it is too late to pursue something is emphasized. The speaker advises the audience to focus on gratitude, staying on the Islam path, and seeking forgiveness. The importance of educating parents and children on Islam and bringing their children into their faith is emphasized.
AI: Summary ©
All praise and thanks belongs to Allah may
the peace and blessing of Allah be upon
his servant and final messenger Muhammad.
And what I wanted to share was a
few ayat from the Quran, more specifically from
Surat Al-Ahqaf in where Allah subhanahu wa'ta
'ala gives guidance and he gives advice to
mankind especially to those who have reached the
age of 40.
There is a passage in the Quran in
which Allah azawajal specifically addresses especially those who
have reached the age of 40.
From that age onwards what are you supposed
to focus on?
What are your goals in life every single
day you wake up to?
What are you supposed to be doing in
that day?
And what are you supposed to be achieving?
What's the roadmap from then on?
So things start getting serious at the age
of 40.
Yeah, and if a person is going to
live to what the Nabi sallallahu alayhi wasallam
said, which the age of the ummah is
between 60 and 70.
This is the last leg, the last run.
There's only 20 years after that and then
a person is coming closer and closer to
his grave.
People die way before that and only a
few past the 70 as the Nabi sallallahu
alayhi wasallam said.
So it's time for a person to get
serious and to understand what is Allah's special
message to me that I am approaching 40
or I've already approached them have gone past
the 40.
Surah Al-Ahqaf Allah Azawajal.
He begins this passage by saying inna allatheena
qaloo rabbuna allahu thumma istaqamu fala khawfun alayhim
wala hum yahzanoon Allah Azawajal he says indeed
those who said Rabbuna Allah our Lord is
Allah thumma istaqamu then they stood upright on
this word.
It wasn't just word that came out of
their tongue.
They stood upright and true to the word
meaning they lived the word.
You said your Lord is Allah show us
how your Lord is Allah through your Salat
through your fasting through your zakat through your
Hajj by implementing Allah's commands keeping away from
the prohibitions eating what is halal avoiding what's
haram dressing in an Islamic manner keeping away
from an un-Islamic manner earning your wealth
through al-halal avoiding filthy dirty money making
sure your environment is halal good friends.
Good company Heather all of this is to
stand upright to the fact that you acknowledge
Allah is your Lord thumma istaqamu such and
this this here this word Rabbuna Allah thumma
istaqamu is the purpose of life.
Of course, there's nothing more than this here.
This is exactly why Allah Azawajal put us
on Earth so that we say Rabbuna Allah
our Lord is Allah and there's no confusion
in this.
There's no doubt in this everything around you
everything around you points to the fact that
your Lord is Allah.
Yani yani why why today the world is
heading towards atheism?
Well children are affected by this ideology in
schools in universities.
They say in Australia.
There's almost a 21% increase in atheism
in the last survey that they did.
Why is the world heading towards atheism?
How has the Shaitan played a good role
in convincing the people that there is no
Lord.
There is no God.
The only God is you worship yourself worship
your desire.
Do what you like do what you please
the word accountability.
No one's going to resurrect you.
No one is going to question you.
Do what you like.
How is the world gone there?
When the simple fact when the simple fact
is that yaqi didn't Allah create you?
Didn't he provide for you?
Didn't he cause your life?
He causes your death.
He decrees all your affairs and matters.
Every blessing you have is from Allah Azawajal.
Every heartbeat is by the permission of Allah.
Every blood cell that flows in the veins
and in the arteries is by the permission
of Allah.
All of this what they are not convinced.
Rabbuna Allah had a person that is foolish
a playing games on Earth.
So the idea of Rabbuna Allah is well
established among mankind.
There is no doubt Allah Azawajal in Surah
Ibrahim.
He says that the Prophets would say to
their people.
Afillahi shak is the doubt in Allah.
Maula could there be possibly an atoms weight
in the heart that doubts the existence of
Allah.
Afillahi shakun fatirissamawati wal ardi when he is
the one who originated and created the heavens
and the earth.
How had a shaitan is fooled mankind and
continues to fool mankind until this very day.
So the Muslim is firm in his belief.
He doesn't shake in his belief.
Rabbuna Allah one hundred percent.
Then what we're supposed to do?
Thumma istaqamu stand honest to this word.
Stand true to this word and start worshipping
this Lord that you agreed to the fact
that he is your Lord.
Thumma istaqamu Allah Azawajal he immediately says in
the ayah.
Fala khawfun alayhim walahum yahzanoon Such people there
is no fear upon them and they shall
not grieve and they shall not be sad.
Fala khawfun alayhim what are you going to
feel?
A person that worshipped Allah and stood true
to la ilaha illallah.
What does he have to feel?
Fala khawfun alayhim he is on a road
that the end of it leads to the
paradise.
Doesn't matter what comes on this road.
The end of it is the paradise.
So fala khawfun alayhim there is no fear
upon them.
This doesn't mean that the believer will not
experience moments of anxiety and fear in his
life.
And you might be in situations in your
life where you become anxious.
You become worried and you fear for your
life for your children.
Heck you fear your situation your financial situation,
whatever it is.
But the ayah is saying fala khawfun alayhim
there shall be no fear upon them.
Henna this believer might experience fear in life.
But for Allah from above is saying there's
no fear upon this person.
Then Allah knows that the end result of
this believer is to the paradise.
Back in the believers always and he created
as a human being and sometimes he's going
to feel sometimes going to be sad.
Sometimes he's going to be happy.
These are emotions that every human being is
going to go through.
But the reality of the of the matter
is that la khawfun alayhim Allah azawajal from
above is declaring and he's saying there is
no fee upon them.
Yanni imagine like someone that owns a snake
a wild snake and he's trained it really
well.
He's trained it really well and he brings
his snake and he knows that it doesn't
bite because it's trained really well and he
puts it on you for the very first
time in the highest if you're afraid get
the snake off me, but the but the
keeper the keeper of the snake.
He knows there's no there's no fear, but
this guy shouldn't fear I know my snake.
So of course for Allah azawajal belongs the
highest of example, but the believer believer might
be terrified in this worldly life from the
punishment of Allah from the rejection of Allah
from many things.
But in reality Allah is telling him from
the above fala khawfun alayhim There's actually no
fee upon a believer that is standing true
to la ilaha illallah and he's doing his
best every day to fulfill that fala khawfun
alayhim walahum yahzanun and there shall be no
grieving moment grieving moment for them.
No sadness and you know sadness and grief
is associated to the past.
A person is not sad for the future.
You're worried about the future you see the
future.
But sadness and worry is associated to the
past.
So Allah azawajal also assures the believers that
there is no worry and no sadness for
your past everything that you worried of the
past of shortcomings and mistakes and wrongdoings and
rebellion and transgression against Allah and all of
that.
There's nothing to worry about all of this
by the permission and mercy of Allah azawajal.
He forgives it for the believer.
All of that is forgiven for the believer
on the day of judgment.
Yani fi hadith nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam.
He says that on the day of judgment
Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala brings the slave close
to him.
And he gets him to know his sins.
Fayu arrifu hu bi dhunubihi Allah azawajal reminds
you of your sins and your wrongdoings and
your shortcomings.
Abdi my slave.
Didn't you do such and such on such
and such day and the believer will say
yes.
Yes.
Yes, and he will not make excuses for
anything.
Then Allah azawajal would say to him at
the end and this is this is the
moment of Hisab.
This is the moment of accountability one and
only one and only standing before Allah azawajal
in this accountability.
At the end the nabi sallallahu alayhi wa
sallam says until the servant believes that he
is doomed and destroyed khalas inta Allah alek
didn't you do this and you did that
and you did this and you did this
when you're saying yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes.
Yes by then you're thinking you're finished.
You're destroyed.
Then Allah azawajal would say satartuha alayka fid
dunya wal yawma aghfiruha lak Allah azawajal would
say I covered all of these wrongdoings.
I covered it all for you in this
worldly life.
No one knew about it.
And today I forgive it all for you
and then he's given the book in his
right hand and he runs out excited shouting
to the people haa umuqra'u kitabiya come
and read my book inni dhanantu anni mulaqin
hisabiya fawwa fi eeshat alwadiyaw khalas congratulations a
person's made it.
So there's no worry for the believer concerning
his past as long as you keep your
wrongdoings private and covered because remember here what
does Allah say to him?
He says to him I covered it for
you in this life and today I forgive
it.
So al ulama rahimahumullah said the one who
wants his wrongdoings and his sins to be
forgiven One main condition is that you keep
it covered and you do not expose it
to the people and you do not tell
the people about it.
Sometimes people when they first commit a sin
they're nervous.
The next time they committed a little less
nervous until it becomes a habit until shyness
and modesty is taken away from him altogether
to the point where he commits the sin
in the open in public and he doesn't
care.
khalas he got used to it.
ma'ayathallah This is a very dangerous state
to become into.
So that's the idea.
falakhawful alayhim There's no fee upon you in
the future.
Your matters are all looked after Hidayah is
on the road to the paradise and there
is no worry and no sadness for you.
In other words, all the past of the
wrongdoings are forgiven by Allah Azza wa Jal.
What was the condition?
qalu rabbuna Allah thumma istiqabu To say our
Lord is Allah and to stand straight to
that Allah Azza wa Jal then he says
ulaika ashabul jannati khalideena feeha jaza'an bima
kano ya'maloon Such people are the companions of
the paradise khalas These are the people of
the paradise ashabul jannati khalideena feeha They will
remain there in forever jaza'an bima kano
ya'maloon As a reward, as a compensation for
that which they used to do then ma
'anata, the believer is a person of action.
He does.
It's not just words.
ya'maloon He does and ya'maloon is a present
tense and present tense in the Arabic language
implies continuity.
Ya'ni, they continuously pray.
They continuously fast.
They continuously do the good.
They continuously obey Allah's commands and keep away
from the prohibition.
ya'maloon, right?
And that's Allah Azza wa Jal's mercy.
But in reality, there is no deed that
you can do that can give you the
paradise as a reward.
Impossible, impossible.
Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam, he says, ya
'ni, he says even I don't enter the
paradise with my actions.
Imagine, imagine a Nabi sallallahu alayhi wa sallam
who had the most khushu' in his Salat
and the most person who worshipped Allah Azza
wa Jal in his ummah and he's informing
us.
I shall not enter the paradise with my
deeds.
What happened?
Then he said, illa ayataghammadani allahu bi rahmati
except if Allah Azza wa Jal was to
envelop me with his mercy.
Then we enter the paradise by Allah's mercy.
Our deeds are a reason, are a cause,
are a means.
Our deeds dictate which level we end up
in the paradise, but it is by no
means the reason for why you enter the
paradise.
That's the mercy of Allah Azza wa Jal
in which they enter the paradise.
Then Allah Azza wa Jal said, that's the
introduction to the ayat.
He said, wawassayna al-insana biwalidayhi ihsana.
He said, and we commanded mankind that he
shall be the very best to his parents.
That's how the ayat begins.
wawassayna al-insana biwalidayhi ihsana.
So after Allah Azza wa Jal mentioned his
right, which was what?
To say that he is our Lord and
to stand straight to that.
That's Allah's right.
The second right he mentioned was the parents
because your parents come after Allah Azza wa
Jal.
Your parents are the reason for why you
exist after Allah Azza wa Jal's permission.
So now there is a mention of the
parents.
wawassayna al-insana biwalidayhi ihsana.
We commanded and we enjoined upon al-insan,
upon human beings that they shall be the
very best towards their parents.
Anything short of the very best is considered
a sin.
It's considered shortcomings.
Then Allah Azza wa Jal mentions why?
Why do your parents have this special position
in Islam?
Allah Azza wa Jal, he said, hamalatuhu ummuhu
qurha.
He mentions now the mother's involvement in your
life.
He said his mother bore him.
She carried him.
hamalatuhu ummuhu qurha.
She carried him with lots of difficulty and
burden and hardship.
So obviously we're all married here.
Your wives have been pregnant.
You've seen exactly what your mother went through
when she carried you.
Obviously because you can't remember that moment.
Why is it that you were still in
the womb of your mother when you came
out and you can't remember anything?
But Allah Azza wa Jal allows you to
see that through your own life.
From the very beginning and the morning sicknesses
that come with that and the vomiting and
the headaches and the aches all over and
the emotional state that a mother is in
and then as the months go by, becomes
heavier and heavier or back pain or all
of every single pain you can think of.
This is what it means by hamalatuhu ummuhu
qurha.
His mother carried him with extreme difficulty and
labor.
wawadatuhu qurha.
And when she gave birth to him, she
gave birth with difficulty and pain and struggle,
right?
Because the birthing process itself is also a
difficulty, right?
And the stage of labor and the contractions
and the pushing and all of that that
comes with it.
And then even after that the pains of
whatever it is that a woman goes through.
Hadha, this is big jihad.
This is why if a woman died while
giving birth, she's considered a shaheedah.
She reaches the rank of the martyrs.
Tayeb, so the idea is Allah subhanahu wa
ta'ala he said, be the very best
to your parents and then he specifically mentioned
the mother and her greatest contribution towards you.
The mother's greatest contribution towards your life.
Like it happened way before you even took
a bite of anything of this worldly life.
That is the fact that she carried and
she delivered.
Allah azza wa
jal then he says,
and he's carrying and he's weaning altogether is
30 months.
يعني she carries the child and he's breastfed
and he comes off the breast in 30
months altogether.
30 months?
علي رضي الله عنه mentioned from this ayah.
He concluded that the shortest period a woman
could be pregnant for is what?
Six months.
Because six months from the 30 will leave
us with 24 months.
24 months is two years and that's the
duration of the breastfeeding.
As Allah azza wa jal mentioned in the
Qur'an, يُرْضِعْنَ أَوْلَادَهُنَّ حَوْلَيْنِ كَامِلَيْنَ that a
mother breastfeeds her child for two complete years.
So two complete years are 24 months.
There's six left.
So the minimum amount of months in which
a woman carries the child is six months.
شوفنا what Allah azza wa jal says.
He says she carried him and she breastfed
him for a duration of 30 months.
Then Allah said حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ until
this child reaches a youthful age in where
he is strong.
بَلَغَ أَشُدَّهُ وَبَلَغَ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً and until he
reaches 40 years.
See how quick that was?
شوف how quickly this is.
Now the advice is going to come.
But the idea is look how Allah azza
wa jal went from saying when your mother
carried you until you reach the age of
40.
The one who reads it, you go from
being a drop of sperm to being 40
within two seconds of reading.
That's the reality of life.
شوف أنت يعني the majority of us perhaps
have reached the 40 or are getting there
or are past the 40.
What do you remember from all these years?
How quick did they go Muslim?
If you are asked about your life, how
quick did it go?
Wallahi as quick as this ayah, as quick
as this ayah is recited.
The blink of an eye.
And the reality is that on the day
of judgment, Allah azza wa jal, He says
Imagine you
lived a full life until you died.
And on the day of judgment, the people
are discussing among each other that perhaps we
time يعني 20 minutes.
20 to 40 minutes on the day of
judgment.
This is how we talk on the day
of judgment.
That we only stayed here for about 20
to 40 minutes.
Now in surah Taha, Allah azza wa jal
mentions another calculation of the people.
The people
are discussing among one another on the planes
of the day of judgment.
And they say perhaps we only lived on
this earth 10 days.
10 days.
Then Allah azza wa jal says
And then one person among the
people and he is the exemplary person in
calculation.
The best one among them in calculation.
He says look not 10 days.
We only stayed here for one day.
It's all the
same.
But the idea is on the day of
judgment the discussion among each other concerning how
long we say these ridiculous like something 20
minutes, she one day, something half a day,
something 10 days.
هذا كله منوشي أصلا شوفوا how quick it
is.
That's the reality of الدنيا.
How does a person waste all that?
So this is why it's urgent to read
Allah's message as soon as possible and to
see what Allah wants from these remaining years
of yours on earth.
Now Allah Azawajal He says until man reaches
40 years قَالَ He says and what is
about to come in the ayah is a
dua that must be recited every single day,
especially by those that have reached the age
of 40.
And this is a dua which means it's
not just words to be said on the
tongue, but this dua is guiding you and
I in terms of what we're supposed to
achieve once we've reached that age of 40
and beyond.
This person who has reached this age
begins to say and he says five things
and each of these five things are the
matters that you're supposed to be concentrating on
at this age.
Allah Azawajal He says
That's the
first one.
He says Allah grant me the ability and
the strength and the power that I remain
grateful to you for your favors upon me
and upon my parents.
Even that's the first thing.
The first thing that is in your scope
and in your vision at the age of
40 is to concentrate and focus upon
Focus upon gratitude to
Allah and be serious in this.
It's time.
How many blessings has
Allah given you throughout these years of your
life?
How many blessings has Allah given you?
By the age of 40, a person is
most likely stable in his life.
يكون عنده a job, an income, a family,
a wife, children, a place where he lives
and he resides and he calls home.
يعني فيه somewhat stability as a person who's
still in his 20s, 25.
Moving from job to job, from house to
house, first child on the way, يعني he's
not stable.
But what's your key excuse?
When if you reach the age of 40
and there is somewhat stability in your life,
of course life is never going to be
stable, it's always up and down and changing,
especially in this world that we live in.
But the idea is, يعني you've got an
experience better than the one who's 30 and
20.
You've got more stability at that age.
So now focus and concentrate on thanking Allah
subhanahu wa ta'ala's blessings upon you and
His blessings upon your parents.
Then your parents, maybe some of them are
still alive.
We ask Allah عز و جل to preserve
our parents.
And maybe your parents have passed away long
ago.
We ask Allah عز و جل to bestow
His mercy upon those who have passed.
But your parents might have fallen short in
thanking Allah for blessings He granted them.
So as a righteous child, you thank Allah
on their behalf.
You thank Allah on their behalf every time.
You thank Allah for a blessing that He
has bestowed upon you.
Come on, on behalf of your parents, thank
Allah
Then that's the first thing to concentrate on.
Wallahi it's a simple matter and it's
an easy matter.
It just needs for you to remember and
remind yourself.
That's the point of the gathering and it's
a point to remind ourselves.
يعني do you, can you imagine and Nabi
He says that
Allah is pleased with a servant that eats
a morsel of food or drinks a sip
and says الحمد لله after it.
Had it's a means to earn Allah's pleasure
أنك تقول الحمد لله after the morsel of
food.
Imagine, when Nabi
He says, whoever says in the morning and
in the evening اللهم ما أصبح بي من
So what?
anyone who says in the morning this dhikr
He says, Oh Allah Every blessing that I
have been blessed with this morning only came
from you alone فمنك وحدك لا شريك لك
There are no partners and associates with you
To you belongs alhamd,
praise and to you belongs gratitude Whoever says
this once in the morning He has thanked
Allah for that day He has fulfilled He
has fulfilled thanking Allah for that day So
what's this?
Who hasn't memorized this dua Must
memorize this dua So that at least when
you wake up in the morning and you
say it once in the morning Then every
blessing you're given throughout the day If you
forget to thank Allah for it specifically Then
generally you have already thanked Allah for it
from the morning when you said that dhikr
And that's why this is from the adhkar
al-sabah al-masa It's included in the
remembrance of Allah in the morning and in
the evening So the one thing that you're
supposed to focus on شكر الله عز و
جل for the blessings Imagine 40s Let's say
you got sick Like really sick once a
year Let's say you got really sick once
a year And you've lived and you've made
it until the age of 40 يعني that's
40 chances you could have been dead in
Gave you well-being, gave you health And
allowed you to live on But you have
a lot to thank Allah عز و جل
for So that's the first thing in your
focus To thank Allah سبحانه وتعالى The second
thing that you're supposed to be focused on
By the way, thanking Allah
Doesn't just mean a word on the tongue
Thanking Allah عز و جل is also in
your actions Hadith Salat that we prayed for
example That's a means of gratitude to Allah
Every single Salat is a means of being
grateful to Allah عز و جل Every righteous
deed you do Is you saying to Allah
عز و جل الحمد لله with your limbs
You say الحمد لله with your tongue And
you say الحمد لله with your limbs By
worshipping Allah عز و جل All of it
is considered being grateful to Allah سبحانه وتعالى
Then Allah عز و جل said and that's
the second thing وَعَنْ أَعْمَلَ صَالِحًا تَرْضَاهُ My
Lord, grant me the ability and the strength
That I do righteous deeds that are pleasing
to You Even that's the second matter you're
supposed to be focused on Righteous deeds that
are pleasing to Allah سبحانه وتعالى Yani a
person needs to understand That at the age
of 40 Enough, enough playing, enough entertainment Enough
distraction How much have you played And how
much have you been distracted with If there
are people over the age of 40, 50,
60 Still sitting in shisha lounges Smoking the
says That at the age of 40 One
of the primary focus Is to focus on
righteous deeds that are pleasing to Allah عز
و جل يعني الواشب becomes a matter that
becomes serious in your life People have reached
the age of 40 Who still has no
connection with fasting Except in Ramadan We still
have no connection with Salat except Al-Fardhu
But brother, Salat Al-Witr One Raka'a
before you sleep And Sunnah At least two
Raka'a before Fajr Salat And two Raka
'a after Maghrib And two Raka'a after
Dhuhr And two Raka'a before Dhuhr And
two Raka'a after Isha These are the
ten Raka'a Finished These are the Sunnah
These are the Rawat These are deeds that
are pleasing to Allah
That needs to be
a focus Deeds that are pleasing to Allah
لاش هيد الكلمة pleasing to Allah Because you
know When a person Reaches the age of
40 and so on And you've had experience
with people And you've had relationship with people
You come to the realisation That you cannot
please everyone You can't please everyone So as
a result We said my lord Grant me
the ability To do righteous deeds that are
pleasing To you By the age of 40
You know that you cannot please everyone So
you know what I don't care about anyone
And what people are pleased with I'm concerned
to do actions and deeds That are pleasing
to Allah alone That should be the focus
Even each and
every single one of us That has reached
that age of 40 And beyond You have
to review And look into your righteous deeds
What are you upon And how you can
make that better If you're not praying the
prayers on time Pray them on time هذا
a righteous deed That Allah is pleased with
If you're praying on time Then add to
that Certain sulam Add to it something There's
always room to improve in your Salat And
if the prayer is good And it's solid
And it's upright Then congratulations Every single good
deed you do is also good مثل ما
Said But Salat
is number one If that's good Then every
deed you do Congratulations All of it will
be accepted on the day of judgement But
if the Salat is ruined And destroyed And
there was no care And concern for it
All
of it is going to be ruined صلاة
Number one That's the greatest of the righteous
deeds That Allah is pleased with So perfect
that And it opens doors to perfecting other
So he said
you focus on Thanking Allah and being grateful
to Allah Number two You focus on Committing
to righteous deeds That are pleasing to Allah
Number three You make
dua and you say Oh Allah Make my
family Righteous Because by the age 40 A
person most likely has a family And his
children are growing They're probably teenagers by then
And it becomes the serious hadith Of discipline
And raising them up Today the complaints are
many from the parents
Hiday doesn't listen He's hanging
out with friends I got no clue who
he's going with I was on the plane
I received the message From a sister saying
She found out her son by mistake She
found out that he's speaking To a Christian
girl By mistake she said I wish I
never went through his phone What do I
do now?
Do I even talk to him?
And if I did how do I even
talk to him?
مشكلة problem So Allah teaches us That by
the age of 40 One of your greatest
Focus should be your family And what kind
of focus?
That they be righteous And that you do
your utmost best To raise them Upon لا
Upon Islamic values And manners
and character And conduct and etiquette وَأَصْلِحْ لِي
Wallahi no minute That is spent
teaching the children And educating them Is a
lost minute It is all precious It is
all rewarded for And it is the greatest
minute That you can ever invest for your
own life For your own sake For your
own sake Imagine the Prophet ﷺ He says
That One of the channels Of earning good
deeds after your death Is a righteous child
That makes dua for you When you die
Mother you cannot do any more good deeds
It's all closed Wallahi you can't pray anymore
Or you can't say Astaghfirullah Or you can't
walk to the Masjid Or you can't read
Qur'an Or you can't do anything That's
it Your good deeds are closed There is
no ability to do any good The Prophet
ﷺ he says Except for three things One
of them he said A righteous child that
makes dua for you Even that means work
on a righteous child So that when you
die And you are long forgotten by everyone
This child Says Allah forgive my father My
lord forgive my father Bestow your mercy upon
him Allah Allah All of a sudden Allah
forgives this father And he illuminates his grief
And he widens it for him And he
raises him ranks in the paradise And then
the parent says to Allah Where am I
getting this elevation from?
Where?
Allah would say In Sahih Muslim
Because there is a child that He
left him in this worldly life He is
making dua And he is asking Allah to
forgive you You are going up and up
and up Bonus Where are you going to
get that from?
You only get that from your righteous child
So it needs to be a project of
yours And a deep focus I need to
be there For my children I need to
teach them Deen Allah I need to teach
them the oneness of Allah No one is
going to teach your children except you If
you do your responsibility Then there is immense
reward Awaiting for you And if you neglect
and abandon your children Wallah they become a
source of punishment for you They come Blaming
you on the day of judgement Complaining about
you on the day of judgement So matters
are serious At the age of 40 وَأَصْلِحْ
And always make dua For
the children لأن الدعاء for the children Is
from the greatest of matters That will keep
And the final two things that Allah mentions
That should be a focus of everyone That
is at the age of 40 He said
I have made a tawbah
too A tawbah at the age of 40
A tawbah every single night And every single
day Because خلاص انتِي at the end of
the road Anything could happen You can be
transported to Allah any moment Soul can leave
your body anytime How many people are dying
In their sleep How many people are dying
during the day Unexpectedly That could be anyone
of us So إِنِّي تُبْتُ إِلَيْكَ I make
a tawbah too announce your tawbah to Allah
every day and every night.
Like before sleep, O Allah forgive my sins,
forgive my shortcomings.
Remember your goal is to die upon a
sincere tawbah.
The one who dies upon a sincere tawbah
is spared the punishment.
He skips it
all together on paradise.
The one who dies upon a sincere tawbah.
And that's why from the dhikr that is
to be said in the morning and in
the evening, a dhikr called Sayyidul Istighfar, the
master of seeking Allah's forgiveness.
It's a couple of words.
this kind of istighfar in the morning, certain
of its meaning and dies before the afternoon,
enters the paradise.
And whoever says
it in the evening and dies before the
morning and he was certain of its words
and meanings, دَخَلَ الجَنَّة, enters the paradise.
I can't get more clear and
more authentic than that.
So it needs to be
a focus at the age of 40, التوبة
What tawbah means, to turn to Allah everyday,
seeking His forgiveness and making a fresh commitment
that I will be upon your worship as
best as I can.
As you find
these words of Sayyid al-Istighfar, I am
upon your ahad and your wa'ad, I
am upon your contract and my agreement with
you and that is إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدْ that I
worship you as best as I can.
Finally.
And I am from among
the Muslimin.
That's a focus especially at the age of
40.
Focus and make sure you are from
among the Muslims.
يعني أشهر المسلم a person who submits to
Allah.
So make sure at the age of 40
by now you have submitted to Allah عز
و جل in all matters of your life.
Submit to Allah in your worships.
Submit to Allah in the way you dress.
Submit to Allah عز و جل in the
way you eat.
Submit to Allah in your appearance and how
you appear.
All of this is to be a Muslim.
Submit to Allah in terms of your income
and that it be in a manner pleasing
to Allah.
Submit to Allah عز و جل in terms
of your character.
Uphold Islamic character and manners.
Speak words that are good, that are pure
and loved by Allah.
And avoid bad, filthy words.
So that you can prove to yourself that
you have submitted to Allah و إني من
Don't you dare
die except as Muslims.
That's Allah's command for us.
And that was the dua of the prophets.
My lord, cause my death while I'm in
a state of Islam.
Imagine a prophet, he's asking Allah to cause
his death upon Islam.
So انت you want to live Islam.
Everything about your life has to be Islam.
Your clothing, what you eat, how you deal
with people, your manners, your income, your environment,
your friends, your worship
That's the focus.
يعني in other words, hold your Islam.
يعني hold it with all your might and
your strength and your power.
Be happy with the fact that Allah blessed
you with Islam.
You know before that someone is shy,
he's still developing his faith.
He doesn't know how to come out publicly
with it.
By the age of 40, this
is your way of life.
If you want to die on this path,
you need to be confident and certain to
announce it to the world.
And I am ready to die
this way.
And I'm actually happy to die this way.
And I don't want it to happen any
other way.
هذا الconfidence that comes from you, it puts
the same confidence in your children, and those
around you, they become encouraged and inspired and
motivated by this.
And remember, the disbeliever, الكافر, most likely they're
not going to read Islam from the books.
They're going to read it from your attitude
and from your character, and how you deal
with your deen and this Islam that Allah
has given you مسؤولية, huge responsibility that Allah
has given us.
So that's the fifth and final focus.
Every single day, ask yourself,
is this what Islam wants from me?
If it is, go ahead.
If not, خلاص, keep away from it.
دعا, finished.
For such people, Allah عز و جل says
at the end, أولئك الذين نتقبل عنهم أحسن
ما عملوا For such people, Allah عز و
جل on the day of judgement will accept
the very best of their deeds.
يعني, imagine الصلاة, you prayed how many years
of your life, the best صلاة you ever
prayed, Allah will take that and make it
like all your صلاة.
And the very best fasting that you had,
He'll take that and make it all your
fasting throughout your life.
The very, very
best deed in every regard, Allah will take
that and make it the one for the
rest of the deeds that you did.
And concerning
their sins, we'll overlook it.
Ultimately, admitting them into
the paradise.
This is Allah's
promise that He always promised the believers.
So انت uphold your part, which are those
five matters, and don't worry, Allah عز و
جل upholds His promise.
That's the end
of these ayat that are related to these
matters that the person at the age of
40 is supposed to commit to and adhere
to.
We ask Allah عز و جل to make
us benefit from that we have heard.
We ask Allah عز و جل to grant
us forgiveness and mercy.
We ask Him سبحانه وتعالى to forgive our
sins, our shortcomings, and to admit us into
We ask Allah عز و جل to grant
us the ability and the strength that we
remain grateful to Him for His favours upon
us and upon our parents.
We ask Him سبحانه وتعالى that He enable
us that we do righteous deeds that are
pleasing to Him.
We ask Him سبحانه وتعالى to cause righteousness
to our families and to grant them an
upbringing upon Islam and upon Iman.
We ask Allah عز و جل to make
us from among those who repent day and
night and to accept our repentance and to
grant us a sincere repentance before death.
And we ask Him سبحانه وتعالى not to
cause our death except that we are in
a state of Iman and Islam and in
a manner that is pleasing to Allah عز
